Wind plays an important role in Pokkiri Raja

Director Ram Prakash Rayyapa reveals that wind plays an important role in his Friday release Pokkiri Raja starring Jiiva, Hansika and Sibiraj. “Along with my lead actors Jiiva, Hansika and Sibi, wind is also playing an important role in the film. In fact, I’m revealing this information for the first time to you”, says Ram Prakash with brimming confidence.

In his debut film Tamizhukku En Ondrai Azhuthavum, the director had a science fiction element and now, his Pokkiri Raja too has a fantasy angle to it. Talking about his penchant for exploring unique ideas , the director says “I always want to try something different and ensure that the idea should be indianized”. “I think most of our directors are not adapting their ideas in sync with the mindset of our local audiences and that’s why fantasy genre hasn’t got its reach”, he adds. The director feels that Jiiva is the apt choice to play the protagonist in the film, he says “As you have seen in the trailer, there are uncanny facial reactions must be done by the hero but at the same time audiences should love him on screen. In that way, Jiiva’s charming look and energy level is a big plus”. Jiiva plays an IT professional in the film and at some point of time he loses his job and breaks up with his ladylove.

“Hansika is Jiiva's  romantic interest of Jiiva in the film. Interestingly she plays a social worker and in real life too, she does a lot of philanthropic activities, which eventually lead to more involvement from her side”, adds the director. Sibiraj will be seen as the baddie in the film, “As both Jiiva and Sibi are good friends, there is no room for ego clashes. Also, I’ve explained the complete script to both of them”, he adds. The director is also in full praise for his producer PT Selvakumar.”I should thank PT Selvakumar sir for his contribution for his great support and without him, nothing would have been possible”, signs off the director.
